Activities

Journal Club

Our concept for the Journal Club is distinct from a simple “gathering for discussion”, such as a meeting that participants translate overseas literature into Japanese for presentation. The JSEPTIC Journal Club offers opportunities for discussion ensuring thorough on-the-spot decision making, such as an in-depth assessment of the process including study design, conclusions from a critical point of view, and what part of a protocol should be revised to obtain similar or better evidence at each study institution.

Clinical Q&A

This is a place for residents who self-study to solve clinical questions and share information with each other. At the same time, residents reinforce their knowledge by presenting information to others.

M&M (Mortality & Morbidity) Conference

This is a conference to improve the quality and system of treatment in conjunction with other departments of the hospital in a cross-sectional manner. If an adverse event occurs, this conference is based on the concept to review what happened, why it happened, and how it should have been solved (what can it be improved).

Nurse Subcommittee

This subcommittee is a place for nurses to share information by using a mailing list. It also provides useful information such as "Introduction of literature useful for nurses”, and "Educational materials for novice nurses in critical care".

CE Subcommittee

Pharmacist Subcommittee

This subcommittee is working to train clinical pharmacists in intensive care to provide global standard drug therapies and to support education for healthcare teams in the field of drug therapy.

Rehabilitation Subcommittee
